UTEC is a Lowell, MA-based non-profit focused on creating an environment where young people who have been affected by violence and poverty can nurture their ambition and have economic success. Read more about them here. While at CTP Boston, they were seeking a 25th Anniversary logo. They wanted to explore a simple revision to their 20th-anniversary logo, as well as a new, innovative direction. After becoming familiar with their brand, I decided to utilize a graffiti style. UTEC uses graffiti to decorate throughout their physical spaces in MA, and showcases creativity through their MADD Love marketplace selling handmade goods, so an artistic approach was the perfect canvas for this logo refresh. I created a complete logo suite, including variations with and without their tagline.
